Engels, Graham, and Frazier to Compete in Boston

As the last-chance meets are running here in North Carolina, three of the state's best distance runners will be competing in the New Balance Grand Prix, held at the world-famous Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA.  Craig Engels (Reagan) and Thomas Graham (Cary Academy) will race each other and a strong group of competitors in the boys' mile.  Engels leads the state with his 4:19.24 1600, while Graham will be running the mile for the first time this winter.  The two will be racing against a field that includes Tim Ball (Piscataway, NJ), who has a PR of 4:10 and has run 4:18 for a full mile this winter, and four more runners with confirmed bests of 4:20 or below.   Meanwhile, Wesley Frazier (Ravenscroft) will have her hands ful in the girls' mile, especially with NC State signee Megan Moye (Cosby, VA).  Moye has clocked 4:47.68 for 1600 this winter (as well as 2:49.76 for 1000).  Kelsey Margey (Friends Academy, NY) has run 4:48.98 for a full mile, which is even faster than Moye's 1600 when converted,  When you include Sarah Gillespie (CT) and Reagan Anderson (DE), that means there are five of the country's top 15 milers in this race!  We know these three will represent our state well this weekend.
