As the weather this week turned wet and then cold, it's the perfect time of the year to start thinking about indoor competition. The Liberty Christmas Invitational has become a major season-opening meet for many North Carolina schools, providing a good facility and a great meet-running staff. This year, we will get our first look at several North Carolina powers, including regular state champions Wakefield and Cummings. Some of the Tar Heel State's best individuals will be in attendance as well, and the participating Virginia schools always provide great competition.
