NCRunners Preseason 4A Team Power Rankings

About the Power Rankings

These scores are calculated from our individual rankings from 2009, with athletes who graduated excluded.  Notice relay teams are not scored in this preview edition, since some legs have since graduated.  The first place returning athlete in each event is given 10 points on down to 1 point for 10th place.  This gives us a good idea of the team's depth and their up-front strength.  It does not take into account incoming freshman who may contribute or any other subjective factors, such as transfers.

4A Summary

The 4A indoor champs, SE Raleigh, sits at the top of the boys rankings. Led by Steven Bell and Malcolm Nunley, SE Raleigh has talented individuals who can take home individual tities. Will their indoor title lead to an outdoor title? Jordan's girls are at the top of the preseason rankings. They have a 15 point gap on TC Roberson who is a distance powerhouse. Jordan is led by Tristine Johnson and Zakiya Tyson, two very talented athletes. TCR is led by Laura Hoer, distance, and Sequoia Watkins in the throws.

Can you say why? I grew up in Havelock way back when so I've followed NB a little since my son has competed against them in some events.

Kaleb Johnson is no longer at Mt. Tabor HS. He has transferred out.
