Athlete: Anne Forsyth

School: Ann Arbor Pioneer, MI
Analysis: Forsyth had a fantastic year in 2016, finishing fifth at Foot Locker Nationals and 14th at NXN. A few weeks prior, she finished with her season best at the 5K distance at NXN Midwest, posting a time of 17:09.10 on a fast Terre Haute, Indiana, course. Then she followed with a big win at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional in Wisconsin. She finished second at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 Championships and generally dominated her season across the state. She posted her first state title in the 1600m (4:43.84) in the spring and added a runner-up bid in the 3200m (10:27.70). She was second at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in the 1-mile (4:47.83).
