No one had a bigger breakthrough last year than Alexis McDonnell. McDonnell entered her sophomore season with a XC PR of 25:07. She needed the season consistently running in the low 20s with a PR of 20:08. On the track again she could not be slowed down running 11:17 in the 3200 and 5:39 in the 1600. McDonnell was 6th at the outdoor state meet and 7th at the indoor state meet in her sophomore season. If you look over her profile her freshman to sophomore year improvement is almost impossible to match across the board. I think McDonnell will continue to improve in her junior season and very well could fall much higher on this list at the seasons end.
