Athletes with NC Ties Seek World Championship Berths

Crest and WCU graduate Manteo Mitchell, a veteran of Team USA, is rounding into top form just in time to compete at USATF "Senior Nationals" for a spot at the World Championships in Beijing.


In addition to the Junior Nationals going on in Oregon this week, USATF is also holding it's full National Championship (often referred to as "Senior Nationals" to distinguish it from the under-20 competition). There will be a large contingent of athletes with North Carolina ties competing in the meet, which is understandable considering the potential prize: the top athletes will be selected to compete for Team USA in the IAAF World Championships, held in Beijing in August.
