No pacing! This results in a disqualification.

These days have passed.

I'm not going to post any pictures here, but I have proof of about 4 instances of pacing just from yesterday's Adidas Seahawk Invitational.

4-5-8 – It is an unfair act when a competitor receives any assistance from any other person. Assistance includes:

b. Pacing by a teammate or persons not participating in the event.

Two examples I saw yesterday:

• a coach running alongside one of his athletes telling him the pace they were running.
  
• a female in sandals ran about 300m from the baseball stadium down towards the finish next to a teammate
  

At the WNC CC Carnival, 2 athletes were disqualified due to a "former" teammate running in the race with them. One of the athletes had won the race and then was stripped of his victory. That is such a shame.

Coaches - PLEASE understand the rules and PLEASE help your parents and athletes understand the rules. It will always come back on you!
