NCISAA State Meet Recap

One expected favorite came through, but that wasn't always the case during the concluding meet to the NCISAA season.

On a beautiful Friday in Hendersonville, the state's independent schools convened to crown championships in six classifications.  The Jackson Park course proved to be challenging, turning the races into competition for place rather than time, and the six hills did claim some victims.  By the time the day was over, three streaks were extended, while two others came to an end; more importantly, though, the atmosphere of positive support and sportsmanship was palpable all day.  I always love attending this meet, and leave impressed by the effort, teamwork, and spirit of the participants.
