The former Cherryville sprinter, who is heading to Florida State in the fall, still has one more chapter to write in his storybook senior year.
Cherryville graduate and Florida State recruit Trentavis Friday has been named to the MileSplit All-American teams for the 100 and 200, and he occupies the #1 spot on both lists. Friday set a new high school national record in the 100 by running 10.00 in the prelims at USA Juniors, then ran a wind-aided 20.03 in the 200 at the same meet. He will get to run the 200 at World Juniors this week, with a chance to break the national record there, as well.
