Olympian David Oliver Visits JDL Fast Track This Weekend

The world-class hurdler will be on-site to talk with athletes and coaches as part of his mission to promote track & field in our country.

Forget that the fields are loaded with the top talent in the state, producing some events that are even more competitive than the state meet.  Forget that the two-day format allows multi-talented athletes to get more rest and perform better in their later events.  Forget that this meet will likely rewrite many of the national top-10 lists.  What will make this weekend even more special is the presence of the meet's namesake, Olympic hurdler David Oliver.  He will be on-site to interact with athletes and coaches as part of his mission to give back to and develop the sport of track and field across the United States, with an emphasis on the youth level.  If you weren't planning on coming to the JDL Fast Track this weekend for the two-day meet (starting this afternoon), you might want to rethink those plans.  Who knows how much the presence of a world-class athlete will inspire North Carolina's best?  Don't miss it!
