Union County HS sophomore (Morganfield, KY) Evan Crowdus took the lead after 200 meters and literally walked away from the field to win the 1-Mile Racewalk title Friday at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina. Crowdus walked a personal-best 7:13.79 to win his first national high school championship title. Meanwhile, Union County HS senior teammate Amanda Johnson finished 6th in the Women\'s 1-Mile Racewalk in a personal best 8:16.76. Both athletes were named National Scholastic Sports Foundation All-Americans. Johnson will racewalk and run cross-country next season for Lindsey Wilson College.
